Ashlee DeansNENA Director Ashlee Deans has worked for the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) for 15 years. She started her career as an Employment Services Specialist Senior in the Richmond Field Office assisting participants with job seeking skills, resumes, and interview preparation. She spent 3 years as a Disability Determination Analysis. Ms. Deans became the Cost Reimbursement Specialist for DARS in September 2021. In this position, she handles all aspects of the SSA Cost Reimbursement programs, as well as parts of the Ticket to Work program for DARS. In addition to her regular duties as Cost Reimbursement Specialist, she facilitates the national CSAVR SSA Ticket to Work/Cost Reimbursement Workgroup monthly meeting. Prior to working at DARS, Ms. Deans volunteered with Virginia’s Youth Leadership Forum which is a week long leadership program for raising high school junior and seniors with disabilities. She also participates with Sportable, a Richmond based adaptive sports organization, as the spouse of an adaptive athlete cheering in the stands and assisting at events. |
