Conference Save the Date

Next year's NENA Conference is earlier than usual so please mark your calendars so you don't miss out on the fun!

From the Desk of the NENA Treasurer

Greetings NENA Members, Partners and Community,

As the year draws to a close, reflection becomes a meaningful way to understand how far we’ve come and how we’ve changed along the way both professionally and personally. Across our NENA members and partners, we saw bold ideas take shape, new partnerships flourish, and long planned initiatives reach new milestones. NENA continues to push forward amidst challenges and remembering the core reason we exist, to empower Employment Networks with a network and resources to drive success throughout the Ticket to Work program. It is our collective voice, ideas, and determination that allow this program to flourish and the people we support secure and maintain meaningful employment. Most importantly, 2025 reminded us of the strength that comes from showing up for one another and moving forward with shared purpose.

As we look forward into 2026, I am excited to see the possibilities that lie ahead. A new year offers a fresh canvas- an opportunity to build on what we’ve learned, to strengthen connections, and to pursue goals with renewed clarity and confidence. Even in times of uncertainty, there is power in resilience we’ve shown and strived to maintain our shared goals. With each step forward, we carry the potential for positive change, meaningful growth, and moments of joy we haven’t yet imagined. Here’s to a new year filled with optimism and intention!

Cheers to 2026,

Angelina Bush

SSA Resumes Processing of Payment Requests

Due to the recent lapse in appropriations, the Social Security Administration (SSA) was unable to process payable Employment Network (EN) and State Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agency cases, which resulted in a significant backlog.

We are pleased to inform you that SSA has resumed processing payable payment requests.

We are working diligently to process payments as quickly as possible. To help us work through the backlog efficiently, we kindly ask that you refrain from contacting the EN Payment and VR Payment Help Desks regarding payment requests from October 2025.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we thank you for your continued partnership in supporting Social Security beneficiaries.

Due to the significant backlog of pending payable Ticket Portal cases from October 2025, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will not be processing the general EN portion of the October quarterly ePay file. ENs are encouraged to continue submitting payment requests through the Ticket Portal as usual. SSA will resume processing ePay with the next quarterly file in January 2026.

ENs that were ineligible for the October ePay file will be ineligible for the January 2026 file.

SSA will notify ENs once processing of the January 2026 ePay file begins.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Social Security beneficiaries.
