News to Know
December 9, 2024 New Ticketholder Intake Resources If you're looking for new resources and ideas for working with Ticketholders, Social Security is pleased to introduce a brand-new tool for ENs to use when conducting a Ticketholder intake discussion. The Ticketholder Intake Guidance and Worksheet is a companion resource to the Employment Network Guide to Working with Ticketholders. This resource will help EN staff understand the purpose for conducting an intake discussion under the Ticket to Work (Ticket) Program and provides in-depth information, including: Ways to engage with a Ticketholder during an intake discussion and what information to cover. How the intake discussion relates and contributes to the requirements of the Individual Work Plan (IWP). A worksheet with sample questions and a fillable form that ENs can download, complete and print, designed to help Ticketholders and ENs: Jointly decide whether the EN and the Ticketholder are a good match. Gather information that will transfer into the required components of a Ticketholder’s IWP, including the development of clear and measurable goals. This new resource was introduced during the November 13 EN Essentials event, From Intake to IWP: Building Relationships One Individual at a Time. The event featured EN staff from CareerSource Central Florida who shared their intake process and how they engage with prospective clients, inform them about the purpose of Ticket Program and establish a committed, two-way relationship right from the start. You can find links to the materials from this event and previous EN Essentials events on the Your Ticket to Work website at https://www.yourtickettowork.ssa.gov/training-and-events/en-essentials-learning-events.html. You can find the Ticketholder Intake Guidance and Worksheet on the Your Ticket to Work website at Resource Documents | Ticket to Work. |
