Jessica is the Disability Resource Coordinator for the Golden Sierra Job Training Agency (GS) Consortium. The three-member local government Consortium consists of Alpine, El Dorado, and Placer Counties located in Northern California. Jessica’s responsibilities include the education of staff who participate in the Consortiums America’s Job Center and she works to ensure partner Agency staff have a currency of knowledge of the service delivery model. Current and past grants offering financial resources for participants include the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the Disability Employment Accelerator Grant (DEA), the Disability Employment Initiative (DEI), and the local area’s Workforce Employment Network financial resources from the Ticket-to-Work program. Her primary focus is on assisting people with disabilities to find and retain meaningful employment. Jessica earned her Community Partner Work Incentives Counselor Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior work history includes serving as a Business & Employment Specialist to participants and Job Developer to local businesses. She has a Masters of Science degree in Counseling from Sacramento State University and also teaches Human Career Development classes at American River Community College as an Adjunct Professor.
